THE best sheng jian bao in LA! It's a traditional Chinese food court and they have different types of dishes but most people come here for their sheng jian bao (pan fried soup baos). Each order comes with 9 baos which is a pretty good amount especially for the price. They come piping hot, flavorful, full of soup and crispy bottoms.

This is definitely a super authentic spot. I really enjoyed the shaved ice, dumplings, and noodles which were all great value! They do charge you for water, which is considered tip. Also I think the soup is really good, but I prefer different style of pan fried pork buns than the ones they serve

Food: When I first walked in and I saw a poster of a woman eating the pan fried bao with juice squirting out of the bao, I did not believe it. HOWEVER, every single bao I ate, I felt the rich juice popping out of the bao! It's indeed one of the best baos I've tasted in SoCal. I'd give it 5/5. Service: It's your typical Chinese auntie's restaurant, so if you know you know. I was a little shy speaking my broken mandarin, but when she said "HAH??" For the third time I knew I had to speak louder. Overall, I'd give the service 2/5. But again, I knew I'm here for the food, not the service. Ambiance: The ambiance is a your typical Chinese joint. Reminded me of 2000s school cafeteria vibe! Overall, I would come back to get more of their baos. Def going to try their rice plates next time since it is stated on of their menu that it's only about 10 bucks for a 3 items rice plate. So, until next time KANG KANG!
